Cisco Ramon was currently sitting in his car, at the parking lot of what may be the greatest job he'll ever have. Today was going to be his first day at S.T.A.R Labs, the company he had read so much about and followed it's progress, dreaming of one day being able to join Dr. Harrison Wells and the staff who worked there. All of Cisco's hard work had paid off the day Dr. Wells had reached out and asked Cisco to be a part of his team. It had been such an honor, especially because Dr. Wells was a well known scientist and Cisco had done a lot of research and read every article about the man when he was younger, now Cisco had the opportunity of working for him.
He got out of the car and took a deep breath, starting his journey to enter the building. Once inside, Cisco watched around him a medium amount of people work. Some were working with tools, some had big computers flashing blue prints and designing virtually and others we testing gadgets that might improve the productivity of the people who lived in Central City. This was every mechanical engineer's dream. Cisco wanted nothing more than to start working on projects to help the city, but he had also set up some challenge for himself.
"This is so cool." Cisco laughed softly as he kept walking around the laboratory, going to the parts he did have access to.

Caitlin Snow was very adament to be at work on time, and even earlier than her usual work day start. She was that kind of person who hated being late : this was very unprofessionnal and she had not been hired to Star Labs, the best science laboratory from her point of view, to act as if she didn't care. This job was the best thing that happened to her in her life and she wasn't willing to let go of it any time soon : Dr Harrison Wells himself, a rockstar in science world, said she was promised to a bright future and that she needed to believe in her skills as a doctor and a bioengineer. This statement had warmed her heart and she had shown him one of her brightest smile on that day. Sometimes she couldn't believe her luck but yet, here she was, every day, working in Star Labs and being part of the most exciting project of all time : a particle accelerator. Motivated, as always, for her day at work, the young woman entered the building and soon joined her desk in the main lab, still empty at that time.
Little by little, she first saw Dr Wells, greeting her with his smirk of his before he went to his office, Caitlin's colleagues arrived one by one. The team's spirit was good and the bioengineer liked being a part of it. Pursuing her research on different molecules, she soon found herself finished with this work she had began a week ago now : this was a full report talking about what reactions may have some molecules if they were to be used in the particle accelerator project. In other words, this was very important and Caitlin hoped she had not missed a thing. Leaving her small and cold -everyone joked her about how cold they find her room but she didn't mind- office before heading towards Dr Wells's, giving t report. As she walked back, she crossed the main lab and noticed a man - or was it a teenager ? - she had never seen before, standing at the entrance, his eyes full of light and dreams, as his smile was huge, taking in all the large room.
"Good morning. I'm Dr Caitlin Snow. I never saw you before, may I help you ?" She asked politely to the black-haired young man once she approached him.

Cisco was memorizing everything, the structure of the building, the atmosphere of a full scientific environment and the people walking past him, who seemed to be confused on what he doing there. Cisco, being a friendly guy would wave and wish them a good day, even if in reply he only received a mumbled 'you too'. Cisco couldn't blame them, they were too busy making history and making discoveries. It was all so beautiful. A female approached Cisco and he smiled at her.
"I've never been here before, this place is so cool! Is it always like this? Man, I could just get used to this." He nodded, crossing his arms and nodding his head. "Oh. I'm Cisco. Ramon. Cisco Ramon. I'm supposed to meet with Dr. Wells because it's my first day on the job." He cleared his throat. Cisco wasn't all that sure if she would believe him. "Uhh. He told me to come here and he would assign me somewhere.. and maybe give me one of those cards that give me access to everywhere. Um.. Yeah, I work here.. or will."

STAR Labs hired and fired people on a weekly basis. Wells had very little to do with most aspects of human resources - there was an entire department for that, after all, and his only interest in the most minor engineers and janitors was that they not steal anything and stay out of his way. Some staff members, however, were people he'd tracked down personally. Usually the sight of Harrison Wells suddenly appearing at their home or college or mundane job was enough to convince them to give up everything and move to Central City. It was the one thing all the publicity and feature articles were actually good for.
This morning, however, he was in a good mood for reasons other than the work. Other than the great coffee on offer. Other even than one of Caitlin's reports, which were always so brimming with enthusiasm (and scrupulous referencing) that they were a joy to read. His computer had reminded him of the day, but he'd known from the moment he woke up. Today was the day Cisco Ramon was coming to play.
Wells stood up from his desk and slid off his glasses. Across the lab he could see that Caitlin and the young man had already made each other's acquaintance. Wells, watching, felt like an eager matchmaker. Not that he expected them to be interested in each other that way, of course. But he did hope that they would have quite an incredible future together.

Caitlin was surprised to learn that the young man beside her was actually a new worker in Star Labs. Not that it was unsual to see some people come and go on a weekly basis as some people were only here to spy on the lab and Dr Wells's work, a thing the young woman found profundly disgusting and revolting. How people could do such a thing ? Of course, she knew why by she still couldn't understand and bear people who were doing this. Harrison Wells was the most intelligent man she knew, the brightest brain scientific world had been given in the past decades and she held him in high esteem. It was such a daydream to be here everyday that she then abored every single person that would try to steal something from this lab.
"Oh so this is your first day. Nice to meet you Mr Ramon... Or was it too formal ?" She said beginning rambling. "Uh sorry, I'm being over work mode." She said letting out a small laugh escaping her mouth. "Anyway, since I've just finished my report, maybe I could show you the place around." She finished, still polite and feeling her smile growing wider.
This new guy, Cisco, had an infectious smile she thgouth, being so excited about every thing here. Truth be told, she had been the same on her first days, and still now if she was honest. Star Labs was a wonder, every person interested in science dreamt about it, or so she thought, but she was aware of all the media coverage and the fame of Dr Wells. He wasn't after that she found. He didn't search for "fame". Fair enough, everyone wanted recognition for their works, but Dr Wells was especially dedicated to his work and wanted to change the future. And Caitlin was proud to be part of this huge project.
"Oh and yes, this is always like this !" She added, letting her mood being more of a fangirl of the place, before going back to her polite and professional face.

Cisco was aware he was young and actually, that was one of the main reasons people underestimated him. He was ready for the world, he was ready for the science field and everything he knew he could bring to it. Cisco was a walking idea, he had improvements for many things and well, not to grow his own ego, but maybe people at S.T.A.R labs would see a benefit to his ideas and future suggestions. Hopefully he could tone down his excitement and his random thoughts enough to feel like he was a grown up in a working environment, but he knew that was most likely not possible. Caitlin, for example, she looked so professional and composed and compared to her, Cisco was none of that... at least the composed part.
"Yeah, Cisco is better. Easier." He chuckled and clapped his hands together at the suggestion. "That would be just wonderful, Dr. Snow." Was now he being too formal? "I want to see everything. I want to see the tools, I want gadgets. Show me all you got."
Cisco needed to see it all, everything Dr. Wells was working on, well at least what he could see. It would be a dream of his to actually work on a personal project with such an admire scientist and not to mention, his role model. Everyone who wanted to be someone on this feel pretty much looked up to Dr. Wells.
"Have you been working here long? What's your favorite part?" The long-haired guy raised his eyebrow, with his trademark smile. "Are you close to Dr. Wells?"

"In the sense of physical proximity, certainly."
Wells had wanted to be patient. Being quietly enigmatic was one of his strong points, inasmuch as it hid some of the less desirable aspects of his personality. But he could be charming too, as Caitlin sometimes tried to remind him delicately. He could transmute his unquestionable enthusiasm for his work into something like enthusiasm for people, if those people could further the work: engineers, scientists, even journalists when funding was at stake.
So he had replaced his glasses and moved out into the main area of the lab, deftly avoiding one of the junior admin staff, who was heading straight for him with a clipboard. He held out his hand to shake, a more-or-less genuine smile on his face. "Cisco! Glad to see you made it here in one piece. I trust you found your way easily enough?" This was a joke. Not being able to find STAR Labs in Central City would have been like being unable to find the Eiffel Tower in Paris. "And yes, Caitlin, what is your favorite part?"

Caitlin jumped suddenly as Dr Wells's voice was heard just behind them. She turned around and saw her boss, usual tousled hair but no glasses, revealing his piercing and, she had to confess - not that it meant anything of course !-, beautiful blue eyes. She had not heard him coming as she was talking to Cisco, the new guy, and that she found herself happy to have someone close to her age and as much marvelled as she was of Star Labs. Though she was startled, she was also glad because she was unsure about Cisco's last question. Because though they had a normal professional relationship, Caitlin couldn't help but think about the way he had asked her personnaly to come and work here. Not to mention that she thought, a bit childishly, that he was just like a rockstar. And it was serious. When she was younger, she wasn't like the rest of her school comrades with rock band and actors posters all over her bedroom, no, she had in fact a tiny book with a list of peolpe she would like to be alike, and Harrison was on the first page. He was everything a scientist could wish to be. Still facing her boss, and mentor she sometimes liked to think, she answered him :
"What's my favourite part ? I guess it's everything. I mean the place in itself is a wonder, I have the chance to work for the best lab, with the best scientist I know, I'm happy to do this job and proud to be part of this huge and important enterprise. I so love being here that I could even live here and it wouldn't bother me." She said, a dreamy smile on her face, forgetting for a second she was Cisco and Dr Wells, reflecting on her own thoughts about Star Labs. When she got back to reality, she coughed nervously, before adding. "But well... As I said I love everything here and I can't pick something I like more than another."
Caitlin kicked herself mentally for having lost her composure before them and being so unprofessional. She was now a bit nervous she had made a fool of herself and blushed hard, looking somewhere on the floor, hoping Dr Wells wouldn't think of her as a stupid unprofessional fangirl.

Cisco was not expecting to see Dr. Wells right now... He wasn't ready, he had to prepare himself to have a proper conversation with many scientists' idol. They had met before, so the 'good first impression' had been done, but now this was different. Maybe he was looking at him like a new worker, another scientist with big aspirations, but Cisco wanted to prove that he was more than that. He was willing to actually work his butt off to achieve his goals, after all his first goal was to be in Star Labs and here he was. Cisco reached for Dr. Wells' hand and shook gently with a smile.
"Oh no, no. I drove straight by it because you can barely see this place." Cisco waved his hand softly and laughed. "No, it was fine. I've been walking around like a freshman at college, but Cait- Dr. Snow saved me." It seemed that the man was also interested in Caitlin's answer. When she finished her ramble, Cisco figured he had met the right person on his first day. She was as enthusiastic about science and Star Labs as he figured everyone in the building would be, but so far the woman had been the one to show actual passion and interest to him.
"You know what I really enjoyed? The man on the front door called me 'Sir'. That doesn't happen to me usually." Cisco joked and shrugged a shoulder, laughing.

Wells smiled. Some might say that too many of his key staff were far too young to adopt such vital positions. Immature. Lacking in experience. Too likely to gawp at him rather than do their jobs effectively. But the talents of people like Caitlin and Cisco were unarguable. And besides, Wells didn't mind a little gawping. Enthusiasm was important, as was a certain amount of trust in his own abilities.
"I'm sure you've already earned the respect of your peers simply by accepting this position," he said. "And Caitlin is certainly doing a good job promoting all the benefits of working here so you don't immediately run out again. As I told you before, Cisco, work here is extremely demanding. Long hours. We have so much to do and never enough time. But I'm sure you'll enjoy it, and I'm very interested in what you might be able to bring to our grand enterprise."

[Sorry I was away for the week end and couldn't reply]Caitlin let out a breath she didn't knew she was holding. What Dr Wells said, with a smile of his own she find to really appreciate, reassure the bioengineer. She knew she could get quite enthousiastic talking about STAR Labs and the man standing beside her, but she had not expected to act like this in front of the man himself, making a fool of herself in front of him. But as always, he just smiled and talked kindly, just what she needeed to supress the doubts she had in her mind. Caitlin was always proud and happy to recieve kind words from her boss, a man she utterly admired. Her every day work was a dream come true and she culdn't believe her luck, not to mention that she had been the subject of a small article on a scientific paper about her thesis : if someone had told her everything she experienced in this shirt past time, she wouldn't have believe it.
The young scientist smiled at the two men beside her, before speaking : "Oh yeah I've also the "Miss" every morning, this is really nice, though I'm still not quite used to it." She finished with a small laugh. "Maybe we could begin the visit, unless you have someth else in mind Dr Wells ?" She added, facing the blue-eyed man.
